Tuna Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
- 320g Tinned tuna in spring water
- 600g Penne pasta
- 200g Sweetcorn (cooked)
- 200g Diced peppers
- 50g Butter
- 50g Plain flour
- 600ml Milk
- 100g Cheddar cheese
- 100g Soft cheese
Method:
- Cook the pasta in boiling water as per packet instructions until just cooked.
- Drain the pasta in a colander and run under cold water to stop the cooking process
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add the flour, and stir well for 1–2 minutes
- Warm the milk in a microwave then gradually add the milk to the saucepan while stirring constantly. When all the milk is added, whisk well and remove from the heat. Add the soft cheese and stir
- Put the pasta, tuna, peppers, and sweetcorn in a large casserole dish. Pour over the white sauce from the saucepan and fold together to combine
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C (or 160°C fan)
