Our Story
At Busy Bees we’re really proud to be part of a global success story.
There’s really something special about a Busy Bees child and it’s because we do things differently. Our Early Learning Services are a part of the national group, Busy Bees Early Learning Australia, and our innovative approach is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children.Â
We follow this philosophy and offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
We believe that quality early learning does more than just prepare children to become eager school students — it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence.

Our History
Our global success story started 39 years ago with the search for the right Early Childhood and Care Service.
“We wanted to give our children the best start in life, which to us meant better, more exciting care, stimulating environments, and lots of opportunities for play, interaction and development, at their own pace and in their own space. We couldn’t find a nursery that offered everything we wanted. So, we decided to find it ourselves in 1983.”
—Marg Randles, Co-founder
Whether it’s an Early Childhood and Care Service in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, North America, Asia, or beyond, the Busy Bees name has come to represent the same ideals and values that made the very first Busy Bees so special.
We offer a safe and enriching home away from home filled with opportunities to learn. A place where children’s emotional needs are met, their interests are nurtured, and their individuality respected, which makes it somewhere parents loved too.
“I hope that, just like we did for my own family 39 years ago, we can give your children the best start in life too.” —Marg Randles, Co-founder
