Partnering for Child Safety

Together, Busy Bees and Bravehearts are on a journey to create safer, more nurturing environments for children in our early learning settings. The Busy Bees and Bravehearts partnership is built on a shared vision of empowering children and families, ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow up safe, happy and healthy, giving every child the best start in life!

Each year, our Centres across Australia get involved and show their support of Bravehearts to raise awareness and empower our families and communities to protect children. Through these combined efforts, Busy Bees and Bravehearts are working together to create safer environments for children, embodying a shared vision of a protected and empowered future generations.

Busy Bees are proud to have Branka Indic, our Compliance & Support Officer running for purpose in the Bravehearts 777 Marathon 2024 to protect children

This is Branka’s third year of running the Bravehearts 777 Marathon and supporting Bravehearts in their mission to prevent and treat child sexual abuse and to educate, empower and protect our children!

“I am very committed and passionate about protecting and safeguarding all children and very lucky to be working for an organisation, Busy Bees Early Learning, that has the same values. It makes me feel super privileged and proud to be able to represent all of our Busy Bees Services across Australia at the Bravehearts 777 Marathon 2024 and show our commitment to Child Protection and Safeguarding.” said Branka Indic.

The purpose of the Bravehearts 777 Marathon is to raise awareness about child sexual abuse and exploitation, and to raise funds to support Bravehearts’ programs and services aimed at preventing child sexual abuse and supporting survivors.

More than 1 in 4 Australians (28.5%) have experienced child sexual abuse — more than 1 in 3 Australian girls and almost 1 in 5 boys experience child sexual abuse.

Runners who join the 777 as a ‘National Runner’ travel together over these 7 consecutive days, traversing the country running one marathon each day. Not only do they undertake this immense physical and mental challenge, but they also raise much needed funds for the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.

We are so proud of Branka and excited to support her during her journey around Australia! Follow and support Branka’s 777 Marathon journey
